Hello and Welcome! My name is Philip Hubbard. I am the priest and pastor of St. Clare’s and a graduate of Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California.
I was born and raised in Raytown, Missouri, moved to Overland Park in 1999 and consider myself very much the Midwesterner. I have the joy to be married to Sonya, whom I met in our senior year English class, and we are having great fun (and the occasional challenge) raising our son, Ian.
Outside of my work in the Church, I enjoy fly fishing and fly tying, hockey, reading, and travel.
Many people wonder what to call an Episcopal priest. There are lots of titles that apply in my case (Father, Reverend, Pastor, and even Vicar), and you should feel free to use the one that you are most comfortable with. As for me, I don’t need anything other than “Philip” - or my nickname, which is “Pip”.
